Anyone know of any good deals going on with car rental companies?
I need to rent a car (preferably SUV) in Oakland from 11/22-28
Anything decent is coming up at $400+. Anyone know of anyway I could pay like half that? |

Rent-a-Wreck - -it's renting a used car RENT-A-WRECK OF SAN LEANDRO 1955 MARINA BLVD. OAKLAND CA 94577 (888)-504-7368 OAKLAND AIRPORT: Any car $24.50/day; 2 day minimum. $140/week NO other chgs except Calif sales tax No idea if they have SUV's though... (I've used them a few times, and the cars really aren't wrecks :) |
We paidn $500 for 2 days to have a Ford Expedition... at that rate your $400 is a steal. Just be aware the SUV's are gonna run higher no matter where you go.

Anything thats not a compact car seems to be mucho dinero~
Who the hell wants to drive a compact car from SF to Mexico though.. I figure I might need a SUV on the streets of Mexico.. |
Rent a Wreck at a Taurus for 26.50 a day - that's a fullsize sedan in most rental companies
|
I hear its open season on gringos in SUVs down there right now... .. .

LOL.. good thing I have a mexican chica alongside me~

actually a good way to save money when dealing with the bigger companies, like enterprise is to say you work for one of the bigger insurance companies like Allstate or State Farm. In most cities they have exclusive contracts with rental companies and employees get a pretty decent price break. So far no one has ever asked for proof that I work for any of these companies and it works like a charm
