So I'll be in AC coming up this Aug 13th, a Friday I believe. As a disclaimer I've never been to this part of the country nor have I been gambling.

That being said however I would like to get some past reviews(?), experiences, do's and don'ts or whatever you may have to offer! I'll only be there that one night, and I (we're) leaning towards getting a plush room at the Trump Marina. Any other suggestions?

So if anyone has anything to say by all means let it fly. Thanks!

If you have time to drive around town, you'll see street names equal to that of Monopoly (it's not a coincidence)

I've never been to Trump Marina but it sounds nice - the website is way too busy but just wandering around the marina and looking at all the boats would entertain me.

The hotel has a Hooters - what more could you want?

Atlantic city is really all about the gambling - there are a bunch of nice hotels, that have nice restaurants, and decent shows, but it's also a convention kind of town - and once you get away from Atlantic City, it's a very depressed area.

But have fun at the marina

I'd be happy to post a primer in craps, my game of choice. The last time I was in AC I won $1,200 and the Casino put me up for the night in a nice room and fed me a late dinner, comped. They hope you'll be tempted to gamble the next day and give it all back.
