L-ornithine, along with arginine, may promote muscle-building activity in the body by increasing levels of anabolic (growth-promoting) hormones such as insulin and growth hormone. L-ornithine is also said to increase the metabolism of fat.

Just remember that with most vitamin suppliments, you need to drink a lot of water or you'll get kidney stones.

a follow up question: is there a natural source for L-Proline? I've been drinking this Fuze drink that has it as an ingredient and I've noticed that my skin has gotten a lot clearer (I've also been working out and sweating like a mad man and eating a lot better but I digress). I've been to vitamin stores and never see L-Proline. I think it's an amino acid, but I'm not sure. any one know?

I have never heard of it either, but I did find out what it is from my friend google.com It seems it is a non-essential amino acid...

Quote:
Non-essential amino acid. Proline is associated with the production of collagen which promotes healthy skin, joints, tendons, and heart muscle. Proline helps strengthen cardiac muscle. The metabolism of proline is connected to enzymes that require niacin and vitamin C.

Ingredients:
L-proline, vegetable cellulose, vegetable magnesium stearate, vegetable glycerin, water
you can buy it HERE if you really want to take it, but it sounds like it is not worth wasting money on, especially since it is so unheard of.
