Removing Stickers
 

Hiyo,
I've got some stickers on the rear windsheild of my car that've been on there about 2 months, and already the weather has rendered them pretty much unreadable and downright ugly.
Anywho as you can imagine I'd like to take them off. What I'm wondering is what should I use to do this / what's the best way to do it? Do I just tear them off and use a cleaner of some sort to clean up the mess? Assuming I can just tear them off. Suggestions?

You can use a razorblad and remove the majority of the sticker.. then use some GOO GONE to get rid of the ... Goo. ;)

goo gone is a citrius gunk remover.. can get it at the hardware store..walmart..ktmart..or homedepot... pretty easy to find... i think even the supermarkets carry it..

Goo gone is your friend. It should be with either cleaning products or perhaps the hardware section of your local friendly supermarket.

WD-40 has the same effect I beleive, if goo gone can't be found.

never mind the razor blade. Grab a hair dryer and peel it slowly as you heat the sticker. it'll come right off. No risk of scratching the glass.

skip the razor blade and get some de-solve-it(spelling may be a tad off from the real product) from walmart.. another citrus cleaner(comes in a lil spray bottle) and works like a miracle for just about any adhesive like sticker goo and such

you can get a segmented rubber wheel that you toss into a handheld drill that essentially rubs the sticker off without scratching or marring the surface underneath. I think you can find them in the automotive section of a hardware store.

A razerblade on glass should get rid of most of the sticky stuff too. WD40 might make a mess of the window and be hard to clean.

DO NOT use a razor blade on the rear window.

You will cut the defroster tapes.

Arent the defroster lines on the inside of the rear window??

Use a blow drier, heat the sticker and peel it off. If the paper part is all mushy and won't peel off by pulling, use a razor blade to scrape it off after heating it up. If you have residual sticky shit on the window, any decent soap will remove it (especially if warm). You shouldn't have to spend a dime on any fancy chemical remover.

Defroster lines are on the inside, so using a razor isn't an issue unless the stickers are on the inside ....nothing like pointing out the obvious :thumbsup:

Use some nail polish remover but test a surface first because it disolves some plastics. It evaporates and leaves no mess and it should dissolve the glue.

Blow Drier or heatgun, panel beaters use the same method.

i just tried the blow drier on my sister's glass case. it didn't work too well. how long should you have to use it before peeling off?

i had better luck with the nail polish remover though.

Goo Gone... works like a charm.

Another vote here for Goo Gone and they even have a more powerful version. It is for cleaning what WD40 and duct tape are for everything else!
