Wisepeople of the TFP...
I've wondered this for 15 years now.
Does the tilt that Micheal Jackson and Co do in the "Smooth Criminal" video towards the end use any wires? or is that actually natural? |
I don't know for sure (that is I don't have any written proof), but it HAS to be wires. His center of gravity was way outside and above his planted feet, which were side by side.
|
I agree. Must be wires. Now, I've heard that he has done this move in his concerts. But he's either doing a minimized version, or he uses wires there, too.
|
Ooooh! I know this! I saw it on one of the Michael Jackson profiles.
In the video they used wires attached to the dancers. But on the live stage, the secret is in the shoes that attaches to the stage floor by mechanical means. It's patented. (US5255452). http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?art...A9809EC588EF21 |
I knew I can count on you guys

Interesting, reminds me of the levitation from street magicians.

But wires and mechanical shoes. Well that's just terrific for him. |
hahahaha i knever thought to ask that question, but i suppose i had always wondered how he did that in the darker more unstable parts of my mind...
|
mechanical shoes.. taking it too far? :S
|
Incidentally I was talking about this to my friends at work today!!
|
What a random bit of knowledge. I never would have thought to ask.
Xerxys, you have found an interesting thread to bump. |
Incidentally, I was looking at the patent application referenced in this thread and Magpie asked what I was reading. I explained what it was, and am now the villain who ruined the magic.
Ah, well. |
