I know that Cheney's daughter is a lesbian, and that part of the joke makes sense. But I don't get the relation to Cheney eating bush/Bush.

OK, not really. At least I don't think he is. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me. But it's probably just a malformed punchline. Still, I wouldn't leave him alone with my kids. Especially if my kids were covered in a savory barbeque sauce.
