Actually, I don't know if I'd agree with this entirely or not. When one is alone, perhaps shutting up is the best thing. BUT, have you ever witnessed the hilarity that can occur when you and a friend double deuce in adjacent stalls? Nothing like a revolting smell and a stimulating (pre-planned) conversation between you and your buddy to offend and repulse every person who walks into that bathroom.
