This is what I have

It works really well considering the abuse I've put it through. I threw it in a fit of rage and the right analog stick popped off. I'm just playing with a nub now. It still works though, just make sure nothing else in your house is running on the same frequency as the controller.

ah.. cool stuff. everywhere i saw, ppl were recommending that one.

That Logitech one is the cream of the crop... best of the best... <insert cliche here>

I need to buy a new PS2 controller as well, since my pet rabbit bit through the wire (I soldered them together, but it still no worky). I know at GameStop it's $40, but if you shop around online, they have one in slightly different packaging, but the same controller, for less than $30.

Is that Logitech one wireless? It does look impressive.

Anexkahn 05-24-2005 02:42 AM

yeah logitech cordless controller for teh win. All around good feel and no latency problems like with some of the xbox wireless stuff i tried.
Pretty sure its just called "logitech cordless action" controller.

Stompy 05-24-2005 05:31 AM

Does it have rumble? I hate when they take out rumble on the wireless controllers.

MexicanOnABike 05-24-2005 07:59 AM

i did some research. it has rumble... if it didnt, i'd get the airflow controlers.

IsuGuy 05-24-2005 08:07 AM

The logitech does indeed have rumble and is the best controller i have ever used for ANY system. Its perfectly weighted and designed. It responds with zero lag time and is an all around amazing controller. You will NOT be disappointed.

I have an AirFlo Wireless, and while it's nice, it's a bit on the heavy side due to the fact that it takes 4 AA batteries. Also, they have rubber grips on the sides, which I find to be annoying. The fans, obviously, can kill the batteries pretty quickly. There also is a slight latency problem as well.

But I can't complain... bought it used for only $10 :)

Does look good that pad. Best sell them over here in the UK.

Are normal PS2 pads compatable with the PS1 does anybody know?

Yes. But in order to use the analogue sticks or rumble feature, the game must be compatible with Dual Shock. Also, you may need to press the 'on' button for the dual shock to work in PS1. It's under the red light.

Edit: Most of the PS1 games published after '98.

RubenBaraja 05-25-2005 12:06 AM

Cheers mate.

Got Ape Escape for the PS1 coming my way and apparently you need a Dual Shock to play it.

georgeofjungle3 05-25-2005 06:36 PM

they are all right the latest logitech is the best controller out there, wireless with no lag that i've ever seen good battery life, feels right in the hand it's the cream of crop

Enka 05-25-2005 08:43 PM

All I have to say is...

The Logitech wireless controller for the PS2 is the HOLY GRAIL of controllers.
