So true, no matter how good the new RTS graphics are and the game play etc...I can always go back to Starcraft and enjoy it like it is brand new...

Another older game i play:

Quest for Glory 5: Dragon Fire

Stiltzkin 11-09-2004 10:15 AM

Final Fantasy IV.

Coppertop 11-09-2004 01:05 PM

Steel Panthers. Yes it is the World at War version, but it has its roots back in about 1995 or so. Plus it is free. Now that can't be beat.

DasMarklar 11-25-2004 10:13 PM

Quest for Glory is awesome, the whole series, and I'm down with one of those every now and again.

But for me, it's usually breaking out the old Street Fighter II action. That, and (if I'm in a really old school mood) Impossible Mission for C64.

"Stay awhile! Stay forever!"

bendsley 11-25-2004 10:24 PM

starcraft / broodwar

MichaelFarker 11-26-2004 12:17 AM

Baldur's Gate 1 - I just got BG2 from a friend, so I'm playing through the series

longbough 11-26-2004 09:11 AM

I remember being blown away by the first(?) text-based "RPG" called, "Adventure." I now have it on my PDA - it's still a lot of fun.

Marathon on my Mac is still fun.

Then there's Tetris.

Destrox 11-26-2004 04:07 PM

tetris, almost daily.

unregistered092 11-26-2004 06:08 PM

heccubusiv 11-26-2004 06:12 PM

Tecmo Bowl, Doom, Wolf 3-d

Yodo 11-26-2004 07:11 PM

For FPS, I still got Quake 3. Don't play as much as before though.

Wasn't this for the Commodore 64?

Caesar III.It totally kills your life for months at a time. Then, when you look back upon it you think "What a boring game", safe in the knowledge that you'll never make the mistake of installing it again. Problem is, you will and you will love it.

Far better than Pharoah, too.

viper11885 11-27-2004 06:57 PM

Sometimes CS v1.5 on LAN. But not very often now.

merkerguitars 11-28-2004 10:37 AM

Usually I've been sticking to playing emulators like MAME, NES, etc. For PC games i've stuck to the following, original counterstrike, Command and Conquer, Diablo II and the only reason for that is one of my friends computer can't really handle any more than those.

Dilbert1234567 11-28-2004 12:04 PM

i play vampire the mascarade bloodlines, half life 2, and counter strike source...

um they all came out with in the last few weeks...

RogueHunter65 11-28-2004 12:08 PM

The oldest games that I go back a play are:

Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy VII
Chrono Trigger

jorgelito 11-28-2004 12:08 PM

Hmmmm.....I still play Age of Empires, Starcraft. Some games are just made too well and become classic.

Tracybrian 11-28-2004 12:18 PM

Warlords2 was the hole reason I bought a pc back in the day.

Fallout 1&2

civ2

I used to play tecmo super bowl all the time I forgot all about it. I am going to have to bust out the old NES again. I hope it still works.

stbeston 11-29-2004 08:10 PM

Rdr4evr 11-29-2004 08:40 PM

Warlords. I remember when I used to play that on the mac at school.

miyamotomusashi 11-30-2004 07:44 PM

Doom, Wolf 3d, Dark Forces, TIE Fighter, Twisted Metal (PSX)

Strelich 12-04-2004 12:28 AM

Panzer Elite. It's modded to the moon, but when it doesn't crash it's fun in it's own way. If not this game, Aces of the Deep (1994), at least until Silent Hunter 3 comes out.

Andrew 12-04-2004 11:54 AM

Colonization.

I still play Diablo II and Counter-Strike... I keep getting the urge to install StarCraft/Broodwar one last time for a taste of nostalgia, but I haven't done it yet...

Where's Starcraft 2 damnit!

Dirty 12-07-2004 02:50 PM

Diablo and Heros of Might and Magic 2, got bored of my current games and went old school.
Almost forgot Ninja Turtles, Final Fantasy, and Zelda (gold) for Nintendo. Every dorm room needs a Nintendo!

mreman4u 12-08-2004 06:03 AM

I'm playing Star Wars Rebellion right now

twilightfoix 12-09-2004 09:39 AM

Man, I had so much hope for that game. For some reason it didn't grab me like I had thought it might. I ended up giving it away.

Master_Shake 12-10-2004 02:39 PM

I have "Interstate '76" installed on my laptop and I play it every once in a while. The game just has so much attitude that it's fun to play.

blitz.fenix 12-10-2004 03:05 PM

Not really old but this game is a classic...

Fallout. So addictive in its endless possibilities.

Oh can't forget Fallout 2!
