Oh man, I was in the stress test.

I am forcing myself to wait till Uni is over before touching WoW- it is going to consume me damnit.

I think I'll probably play on the PvP server as PiousSmith or ChurchJones, or if they'd let me put in more than 15 characters, I'd definitely be ChurchBenedict. All of these characters are gonna be human paladins, btw :thumbsup:. Or a gun-toting warrior called Blitzkrieg McCannon.

I am going to give a military funeral to my mage. It's going to suck having my level 46 mage (had him since February :() deleted. Starting all over....

A cairn will definitely have to be constructed for Punchinelli, Human Mage of Azeroth.

theres different servers? I figured that all of them were the same... horde vs alliance forcing pvp on all servers. I dont see why they wouldnt do this. it would be weird grouping with people from different factions. sorry i dont read much on WoW so info would be much appreciated =)

I was in the stress, and absoloutly loved it. I'm getting all my tribe involved too, so we have a little guild right from the get-go. (tribe = circle of friends. just to make sure there's no confusion)
If anyone from the TFP wants to ride with us, just let me know. For The Horde!

As of now, every server will be Horde vs Alliance. There are two different types of servers: PVP and non-PVP. On the PVP servers, you can attack anyone at anytime. This makes the war between the Alliance and Horde more realistic. If a level 60 Tauren Warrior wants to come to the Alliance's Goldshire and kill 30 people, he can (I've seen it happen :) ). On the non-PVP servers, the only way he could kill anyone is if they are a designated /pvp person. If they're not /pvp, they cannot be attacked.

Needless to say, I'll be playing on the PVP servers. I personally find it incredibly amusing to be sitting in an Inn in Darkshire and be backstabbed by a level 55 rogue and die in one hit. :) Makes the game more fun and challenging.

Open Beta, weee. Another chance to figure out what kind of character I will play as my main on release. Played a Magician for the most part in Stress Test and really liked it. I will be playing something different for open beta, maybe a Rogue or Druid. Who knows!!! This game is going to be great, and it's a definite buy!

Hmmmm.... Warlock.... yummy...

Are there any official, or Unofficial RP Servers. I'm looking to join one of those.

Finally waited so long for the open beta.... I hope its gonna start next week. Damn can't wait to play :D had so much fun on the stress test. I'm going to be on the PVP server too.

Can't wait, will be joining some old guild mates from DAoC on some pvp server.

I'm kind of interested in WoW. But can't say I'm majorly interested. Will definitely try it though at a gaming center when it comes outl.

That's the saddest part of betas... You get to play the game for free before anyone else, but then all your hard work is lost when the big crowd joins in...

It's tough to go through those low levels again when you remember you strong you used to be...

the only thing that comforts me is that I will BLAZE through the quests now (basically the best way to level in WoW) because I know exactly where and how to do every one up to level 50.....

They said they have no plans on releasing an official Role-Play server, but they did say if players start demanding it they may consider it. RP would be fun in this game. If you play this game slowly and enjoy it without turbo'ing through the first few levels, you will have a lot of fun. Blowing through the content is fun too, but I find it more enjoyable to do things a little slower. When I played in the Stress Test I was a quest Nazi. I did all the quests for the Undead region, and all the quests stemming from X-roads, Ratchet, etc all the Barrens places. It was a lot of fun because all my friends were in Barrens, I'd do those quests with them, then when they logged off I would go back to the UD area and do those quests!!! Weeee.

yeah, that sounds like "fun." I'll play on which ever server attracts fewer haxor retardos. I'm betting though that they'll all be overrun.

Has anyone played a Druid? The more I read about the classes, the more I think I'm gravitating that way...

i played a NE druid in the stress test and out of the classes i played, i played this one the most. It can heal, kill, support just about anything, i spent most of my time hunting alone and found the druid to be extremely versatile.

Sweet Keeb, thanks, now I just gotta decide between the traditional look of the Night Elf, or the "worship the cow god" look of the tauren.

Hmmm, I seem to remember something about Hero Classes? But I can't find any info on it... Anyone care to point me in the right direction?

yeah quests were totally the way to go also its best to not miss any cause they could unlock other quests in future cities.

TFP guild sounds like an amazing idea, actually. we'd need 2, one for horde and one for alliance. The TFPA and the TFPH! I'm signing up for the open beta, anyone interested in this post here or PM me with names, races, and classes. Long live the TFP!

I plan to sign up for open beta. Will definately be buying this on release.

me and Lasereth and Blitzkrieg are starting a guild when it goes retail. we haven't decided on a name, but it will definitely be an Alliance guild. very casual guild, not many restrictions (you have to call me sir!!!!!111)

we have some good ideas, and having a person who's played since february as the guildmaster couldn't hurt right :)

From reading the boards it sounds like about 90% of people are going alliance, bleh...

I'm hesitant to actually fork money over and buy it.. the only thing I did this summer was work, WoW, and occasionally drink me a light beer or 10.. Now I need to focus..

I have yet to play it, so I don't know what race/class I'll be going. I plan on signing up for the open beta and later buying the game.
What about the Night Elves or Undead? Are they included in the Alliance/Horde?
And yes, I'd very much like to join a TFP clan.

Night Elves are members of the Alliance, Undead are members of the Horde.
