WOWC!!!
Who here's playing Beta? Anyone? I'm buying it when it comes out. Awesome game.
Compare to Guild Wars, Everquest 2, Lineage 2, City of Heroes, and any other new MMORPG? I personally think WOWC kicks the hell out of L2, and I've played both. But not the others. |

Someone mentioned this earlier, but N-zone "gave away" 1000 beta accounts.
Weird thing is,the contest isnt on the website anymore, and I'm curious if anyone heard they cancelled it?(or if you won an account that way, please post it~) |

i am as much against paying to play a game online as the next person, and I love the Blizzard did the free Battle.net thing with Starcraft, Warcraft, and the Diablos, but when you begin thinking about MMORPGs, I know it is infeasible to think it would have a flat one time fee..
servers are too costly, and the only way to make up for that cost is to charge people/month who are using their resources.. it is just the nature of the beast, so to speak. |

I got in the beta and never activated....
I just got over playing DAOC a great game they made suck slowly over time, and I really don't want to get my life/time sucked out of me again in another mmpog.

I've managed to continue playing through the closed beta. That game is awesome as shit. I love it. It's approximately 100x more enjoyable and 100x less frustrating than EQ. I could definitely see myself playing this game when it comes out on retail. I've probably said this several times over on this very thread, but it's incredibly fun and nowhere near as "grindy" as EQ was. Guess that's because there are so many damn quests that you can get involved in.
