Galaxies Ablaze
 

I know there are a lot of BRE fans out there, and search didn't turn up any threads on this game (which is odd, because I know I first saw a mention of it in a flash game thread).

It's very much like an updated version of BRE, where your goal is to govern and build up your planet, attack and defend, etc. Some things are missing (there's no food, no market) but it updates every hour instead of once a day. Pretty simple game, but it's been like crack to me for the last few weeks since I started playing it. The same folks have even started up a new game called Mage Realms, which holds the same similarities to FE.

It's in the latter half of the round, I think, so it's actualy a good time to sign up and learn the ropes without mistakes haunting you for the whole round.

url is www.galaxiesablaze.com Signup and play is free, although there are massive amounts of pop-ups. Google toolbar doesn't stop more than half of them in IE, but mozilla makes for a hassle free gaming experience with it.

If enough people try it and like it, there are even group signups at the start of each round, so we could even have a TFP solar system.

What is BRE?

BRE stands for Baron Realms Elite, and old scifi/military game that was played via BBSs. FE was Falcon's Eye, the fantasy counterpart to BRE.
