Everybody should just break down and buy the headset and SOCOM 2!!! Only if you have dsl though. Single player is a little weak, but multi is crazy, you will be on for days (before sleeping)!

Cable works too.

Great game, but it is too damn addicting.

I've stayed up far too many nights playing this game until the sun comes up.

PS2 only.

It has one of the largest online gaming communities for a console game.

I have played the solo version but want to get into the online gaming. I would like to see how I compare to the rest of you. I seem to think I am fairly badass at it!

Wake up, Eat breakfast, Shower, Get dressed, Play Socom II, Go to work, Get off work, Come home, Call the girlfriend, Play Socom II, Eat dinner, Play more Socom II, Go to bed. (Repeat) Monday - Friday

I want to try it, but I'm not willing to buy it before I do so.

This creates a large difficulty since I don't own a broadband adapter for the PS2, and as far as I know, I can't rent one.

The closest thing to this on Xbox currently is the Rainbow Six 3 game and community.

The Gamecube just sorta got shafted on the whole FPS, 3rd person shooter online games...

I love both of these games, but as I only have a 56k connection, I can't join the online community *sniff*. The regular mode will have to do for now.

Socom II is a bane to everything else in my life. I haven't played since school started back up. Hopefully i can keep it that way, lest i fail all my classes.

Unfortunately I am still on dial up at home. By the time I get broadband no one will be playing Socom II anymore.

Unless you wait until the PS3 has came out for a year or two, People will still be playing the best Shooter in Gaming right now...Or until SOCOM III comes out
