Anybody remember Quake?
I've just discovered Quake Live! Play for free in your browser. It's basically Quake Arena, except you play in your browser (either firefox or ie) and it's free!

Remember Quake? I spent good two years of my life playing Quake 2 on Mplayer nearly daily '99-'01. Was in a clan and everything.
MA represent.

I looked into Quake Live but didn't feel like registering and inventing another nic etc. but my favourite part of Q3A was getting new maps off LvL and exploring different mappers work. then there was all the custom player skins and player models too...not something I can do In Quake Live I'd guess.
I wanted to install Q1 on my comp but it seems too old for XP. I was hoping to get it running with Fisheye Quake again like I had it on my old NT box.

For those here that have tried Quake Live, have you guys tried the rocket jumping and strafe jumping challenges?
I got through the rocket jumping challenge with no problem, but for the life of me, I cannot strafe jump. I know the mechanics of it. I just can't do it. I get stuck on the first challenge in the third lane. The farthest I've made it on that challenge is the 4th jump. I made it there twice out of like 100 tries.
