Halo 3 Ending (SPOILERS!)
 

Hey, I'm wondering if people can clear a few things up for me here. I've finished the game and it just doesn't make sense:
1) Where did the brutes go? Earth managed to beat off all of the covenant with seemingly no problems after Master Chief was at the ark? I know some of the Elites probably hung around but still, it seemed a little too easy.
2) Where was the Arbiter at the post-credits cut-scene? Cortana and MC are present, but not him.
3) How does the Arbiter get back to Earth for the mass funeral, despite being on the same ship as MC?

I can only assume 2 and 3 are answered due to the fact the ship got cut in half from the portal, with the arbiter being in the other side of the ship, which happened to drop back into the Earth's atmosphere.

Any thoughts?

You'd be correct about 2 and 3. The ship was cut in half by the portal. About number 1 though, I'm not too sure. I just finished getting all the skulls last night and the armor you get is sick.

Not sure about 1 but you're right about 2 and 3. I guess I assumed the brutes went with the convenant through the portal.

I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get to fight the big battle featured in the advertisements though.

Same here - awesome game, but I was holding out for that epic battle that was referred to numerous times in the ads - never happened

Very awesome game though - me and Lasereth have begun Heroic coop

Mainly because the Hayabusa armor is ridiculously cool looking.

Also, I didn't see any other Halo 3 threads... anyone wanna throw down for co-op, slayer, or anything?

Redjake, you should go ahead and go Legendary. It's not much harder, and you don't have to start over if one of you die....and you get the Achievement (if you care about it).

I would try and add you guys but it's my roommates Xbox/game/account, and I'm not too sure how he would feel about me messing with it. However, if you ever run into me on matchmaking, my GT is NeuronetProcsr and I am sick nasty.

Edit: Holy hell that Samurai armor looks sick.
