Old School BBS Door Games
 

hey guys, tfp's very own seretogis has been kind enough to set up a BBS for anyone who wants to visit. I just thought that's I'd try and recruit some people for our interBBS BRE team. We're only in the 1st week, so you won't be far behind. If you've never played, the game is bascially a typical build your army and smash your opponent type, but more addictive as you have to manage your realm and diplomatic relations with others on your team and different boards. We could also use more people in the local Falcon's Eye game (a lot like BRE but newer and set in the middle ages).

Damn, I used to run a bunch of old BBS back in the day. Bordello, Trade Wars, Imperium, Pimp Wars. Ahh those were they days.. we used to have a bunch of Adult door games.. Can't remember all the names any more though.

legend of the red dragon (LORD) > *.* BBS games

LORD was (is) great. One of my favorites. But BRE and FE are nice for something a little different. By the way, anyone who wants to join Falcon's Eye (FE), the 3 biggest realms are all tossing out cash like we're looney for the next few days to catch up every who started later. Hurry up and join so we can start the battle royale. Send some sort of treaty to Big Gay Al's Big Gay Empire, Realmus Maximus, and The Empire of Pie and we'll start funding your state.

Oh...my..god! I wasted many a minute playing BRE and Lord! Then came RIP graphics...

As was said, there is an inter-bbs game of BRE up now (league 65), and soon there will be an inter-bbs game of LORD up as well.

Ok yeah. LORD completely owned all bbs games. Ive still yet to find another game that I was that really addicted to. Yeah it sounds sad, but that game ruled back in the day

Yeah man it was all about LoRD. I tried to set up a telnet style BBS recently, but I couldn't get the weird telnet/fossil driver thing to work right. Oh well... Anyone play Usurper? That was pretty cool too.

Yeah i remember usurper. i also (vaguely) remember this doorgame with barney. haha anyways it was pretty funny and violent. lol. i just started up a lord game on http://bbs.seretogis.org/ . brings back a lot of memories. i wish i remembered what to do exactly.

Whoa, I rememebr that Barney-related game too! I need to see if I can find it, haha.. --- EDIT: I found it, it's called "BarneySplat".

As for Usurper, I have a game of that going and I've tried to balance out the higher level game with about 40 custom items that I whipped up along with a couple of new door guards and moat monsters.

By the way, for some reason my DSL provider changed my IP without notifying me, so you may be unable to connect for a few hours while DNS re-propogates. In the meantime you can connect by telnetting to: 208.186.222.172

LORD is the greatest game ever.

I used to run a BBS called Jade Towers in the chicago area, That was the best time for computers!!! omg i miss it.
