Amusing ebay auction

I saw this and chuckled, so I thought I'd share it with all of you. Some of you may have seen it already.

This started as a typical can of Coke, likely purchased at an Albertsons in Santa Barbara, CA sometime last summer. Somehow during a normal drunken binge the night before heading abroad for a vacation, this missed getting consumed. How? I dunno, probably scrapped the rum and cokes for straight rum shots, or passed out. It then traveled to Australia, and back again, seeing many sights along the way.
You meant to tell me that thing travelled around the world?

Perhaps it possess the spirit of the...Travelling Lawn Gnome!

Looks like an unopened can I left in the car in the winter. It froze, bulged the top, and eventually burst. Nothing special about that. Not that I don't want to be a believer in the supernatural but spending even $10 on a can that looks like something I could duplicate in my freezer - that's ridiculous.

Phtt! That's nothing. I've opened a case of Cokes and found one totally empty with no visible signs of damage and no sign of leakage on the packaging.

I left an unopened Coke can in the cupholder on the dash of my car one morning on a 100 degree day, and the top exploded like that. I would have saved the can if I realized how much it was worth.

I've had a few of those too. They're an error by the canning company. The machine the Coke is supposed to come out of... burped. Such cans are supposed to be prevented from coming into market.

This guy's got a great story. That's what people are bidding on. Now, let's see if he actually gets paid.

My friend's little brother had a can of ginger ale like that back when we were young'uns. Whenever the two of them fought, my friend would go right for the empty, unopened can and threaten to open it, rendering it completely unremarkable.
As for the can on Ebay, some people seem to have way too much money to waste and not enough sense to waste it on better things.

People will spend $200 on this crap when there are good out there. If people want to get rid of their money, that's fine, but it'd be nice if they did it on something worthwhile.

You will if you say it's haunted. Gullible people are more likely to believe in the paranormal. Cash in on this gullibility. Also, get a lot of publicity for the cartridge. If it's on the news, chances are higher that some kook will buy it.

Wow, and it was $200 just a couple of hours ago... scary. I might just go ahead and try to sell a possessed wad of gum (I swear I saw it levitating when I was drunk) or a possessed CD, which contains something else than what it says on the cover... in black marker... bid now!

Hey.... watch it on the gnomes :P I actually "collect" them and like to take them travelling for odd amusement. Maybe to DC next week ..... hrmmm

But I think this is odd.. I remember when the PS2 came out and someone put a PS2 Box on ebay and it sold for about $200-$300. And it clearly stated that it was ONLY for the box.

People will bid on anything... kinda odd like that I suppose.

My brother secretly let his friend borrow my game without me knowing it...then that same night, the friend's house caught on fire. The whole house was destroyed, but I know both Duke Nukem 64 and his Nintendo 64 survived.

What's kinda funny is that Duke Nukem 64 was in the system at the time, so about the bottom fourth of the cartridge was unbothered...the rest of it looked like it was charcoal though, he he he.

Then bidding has ended. The lucky winner paid 212.50 US dollars.

Sorry to say that's more than I make in a week.

I need a new life.
