That's a good pun.

Here's the post I was referring to elsewhere; I don't know if uncle phil "hates" either of these teams, but I still thought it was a great two series of games.

I have no vested interest in any of these teams and I am 2 weeks late, but I thought (from the overview and box score) that this was a great game.

That bootleg spike was unreal. Everybody was in disbelief.

It is very disheartening not being able to watch NFL games live.
I like defensive football alot, and there's not much of that being shown in any highlights.

Did you resize the image, Mr Nick? Or did Photobucket do that automatically for you?

Responding to your "lack of sports knowledge", I was in the same boat up until a few years ago. In fact, I didn't even know who the Colts beat in the Super Bowl a few 'I's ago. I eventually found out it was the Bears.

I've dedicated a certain portion of time to learn all the positions, teams, standings, and nuances, and I've succeeded in less than a year, but am learning more and more each day.

Someday, I might yet learn the difference between "shotgun" and "play-action", whatever those mean. And, then, what separates a "4-3" from a ''3-4'' defense.

I have my PB pic size currently set for 1024 X 768 ...and the pic above seems smaller so I imagine they might have downsized it.

I waver in and out of being into sports...when I'm into it I follow all the details. For some reason during the last few years I've been only casually interested.

I know "shotgun" is when the QB stands back a few yards behind the center instead of that more intimate position with his hands up the center's crotch. The center then hikes the ball to the QB back there and it allows a bit more of a buffer from the attacking defenders, as well as a little variety to confuse and open other options.

What sports do you (have you) follow(ed)?

For me, I don't think I'll be able to appreciate baseball until I'm in my 60s. I like to live fast, and that's not a very engaging sport to me.

Since 2001-02, I've been following, just as you have, the NFL, very casually. Up until 2-3 years ago, I only tuned in to watch the Super Bowls. Yet, still, I missed quite a few of them (Bears v. Colts , Giants v. Patriots ... remember, that was the time I went missing all those months?)

I actually slept through most of the game, and when I awoke, it looked to have been in progress already for 3 hours (maybe only 8 min. left in the game). I decided what a waste, and not to watch any of it. (my TV was not turned on.) What a mistake. if anything, the only watchable portion of that game was the final 8 minutes. Out of the loop I am.

I also sparingly watch F1, the American Le Mans series, trying to get into hockey more (but with no TV, no dice).

Tennis is perhaps the only other sport in which I am truly engaged and at one with... it is kind of shocking that nobody here is talking about the Andre Agassi "drug addiction" story. I posted it only a day after it broke.

Jet, you probably noticed that the Phillies won the World Series last year, so they were the defending world champs. So I watched quite a few of their games this year, and of course all of the post season games. I hear a lot of people say baseball is not fast paced enough, but I enjoy it. I think if you get more into the subtle actions and reactions, the play to play strategies and counter-moves, many of which are not blatantly obvious unless you become aware of them or the commentators discuss the moves...to me baseball is like the ball game version of chess.

Ahh, you mention American LeMans series...sports car racing is what I enjoy watching the most since I'm somewhat of a motorhead and even participate in driving my own car on roadcources a few times a year. So that gives me even more appreciation for how well many of the pros drive.

I do like tennis, but I only watch the really big tournaments.

I've always enjoyed college basketball a lot.

Billiards and pool, too. I wish we saw more snooker in the U.S. When she comes on my wife usually leaves the room since I got the obvious hots for Allison Fisher ...besides appreciating her fantastic skills. Vivian Villareal is also very talented and sultry. Hmmmm, I can't forget the Black Widow herself...Jeanette Lee

As soon as we rearrange our house and move my one son up to our 3rd floor I'm getting a nice pool table since I like to play.

She's just about the only billiards pro I know by name.

I just noticed... if you say her name really fast and/or combo it, it sounds alot like what's above "the bunnies fall"

Chargers jolt the Birds. Rivers engineers the drive. I need to move to the West Coast again and properly root for my (winning) teams.

Westbrook's coaches want to put him on IR after second concussion in a month. Shame.

I like Westbrook a lot, but with these multiple concussions, I think it's time for him to hang up the helmet.

Jet, other than that just remember what the Beach Boys said:

I wish they all could be California girls

The West coast has the sunshine
And the girls all get so tanned
I dig a french bikini on Hawaii island
Dolls by a palm tree in the sand

I been all around this great big world
And I seen all kinds of girls
Yeah, but I couldn't wait to get back in the states
Back to the cutest girls in the world

I wish they all could be California
