Speaking of... Fictional Characters you love!

In light of the other thread. What fictional characters crack you up? Make you smile? Enjoy watching?

I know that I love:

1. Anyone on Family Guy or Futurama

2. Disco Stu (Back away, not today Disco LADY)

3. The character that Adam Brody plays on The OC

4. Before he left the show, The character Nicky Katt played on Boston Public

5. The character that John Cusak plays in the film High Fidelity

What about you?

bltzkriegmcanon 07-09-2004 12:26 PM

Harry Potter. The entire universe makes me smile like a gaping idiot. Seriously.

He gets a rise out of me on a regular basis, quite humorous, the writers did their homework on the character of Seth Cohen.

Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield of Pulp Fiction - those guys are some bad motherfuckers, and I find their constant parading of machismo humorous.

Gollum of LOTR fame - what can I say, this is a damn good looking CG character, very lively and his smartass comic timing just get me going.

Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series. What a fucking badass. He's written to be a mock-up hollywood gener-hero, but dammit, David Hayter's voicework is so serious and well-done that I can't help thinking, this needs to be made into an actual movie.

Gray Fox/Cyborg Ninja from the Metal Gear Solid series. Just a badass, can't get around it, seeing him on-screen gives my soul joy.

The Bride/Beatrix Kiddo - what can I say? She's written humously, much like a badass samurai. I like the way Quentin Tarantino wrote her character.

Any Bruce Campbell character in a Sam Raimi movie. Geez. Any role that this guy is given is just comic gold.
There are way, way more.

Redlemon 07-09-2004 12:30 PM

Spike, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There was just something perfect about the blend of a vampire and Billy Idol.

Right on about Christopher Walken. He makes even really shitty movies worth watching. Well, maybe not but his part in them is usually the best. It just seems like he never turns down a movie.
