The alternate world Buffy doesn't count. But, how did Buffy die a 3rd time? She was drowned by the Master, died at the end of S5, but I don't remember anything else. Unless you're counting the end of S7 when she gets hit with the sword and starts to die and gets back up but I never counted that as actually dying.

We saw buffy die when she died, by the masters hands in season 1 and at the end of season 5. In season 3, we saw her killed by the master again, and we saw her burst into flames and turn to ash. Though these events did not happen, we saw Buffy die.

No slayer. Think of the slayer death activation as a coupon. When a slayer dies, the coupon is cashed in and another is activated. Therefor, when Buffy died the first time, her coupon was cashed in. She doesn't get another one because she came back. Up until Season 7, the slayer line basically depended on Faith.

As for who does Giles kill? That would be Ben/Glory... he does what Buffy won't. Ruthless but appropriate. The type of hero that Buffy is can't be tarnished by murder.

Detective Lockley... When her father is killed by vampires, her hatred of what Angel is is driven up a notch. Sometime early in season two she attempts suicide and Angel rescues her... She realizes he isn't so bad and they make up...

She never appears again. I just think the writers and producers wanted to write her out OR the actress got a gig on Law and Order and couldn't do both shows...
