Fall Lineups

The networks fall lineups should be starting soon. Which lineups are you looking forward to? I don't watch commercials anymore and so I have no idea what new shows are airing. Anyone see anything that looks worthwhile?

not really any new shows that are "must see" to me. Mostly just looking forward to new seasons of The Office, Survivor and Amazing Race. Hopefully they'll do another Project Runway as well

I'm looking forward to Heroes and Lost coming back.

You know what? I downloaded the pre-air leak of the pilot of Pushing Daisies (don't tell anyone) and... it's CUTE. Quirky, funny, stylish, light-heartedly dark... I think that'll be one worth watching.

The office. Southpark, Earl(it got better towards the end), Scrubs, Heroes(if it can get better), and prison break.

yes, i know half of those aren't starting right away but that's the shows i'm waiting for.

I saw this show advertised where this guy time travels...the story line felt very reminiscent of the Time Traveler's Wife. I'm curious. Hopefully he doesn't solve crimes, that would be very predictable.

I'm curious about Pushing Daisies. It looks as if it could be funny.

I'm anxious to see how badly they make Cavemen suck. I have a feeling that it's going to be a five episode wonder.

I'm going to try a few episodes of Bionic Woman and Journey Man. I'm pretty sure those are the only two new shows. I can't say I'm excited about them, but I'm gonna give em a shot. Then I'll probably just go back to watching the CSIs, Earl, ER, Heroes, House and LOST... hmm, I thought of those in alphabetical order...

Same here, although Pushing Daisies looks alright.

The only show I'm slightly excited about is Kevin Smith's Reaper on the CW. It is what it is and sometimes that's alright.

Easy now. Keep those expectations low. The lower the better. That way, not only will the disappointment be kept to a minimum, but if they do manage not to screw it up too much, then it'll be just that much better.

Yeah, I agree with you cybermike. At first, I thought Zooey Deschanel was going to be in the series only to found it was Anna Friel. I hope the show can stay on for a few more episodes.

I missed the Bionic Woman pilot but watched the second episode. Well, part of it anyways. I turned it off about halfway through because I was bored. I found the Normal Life soap vs. Crime fighter set-up tedious.

Pushing Daisies is written pretty well and has lots of style so I'm going to give it a chance, but really, I wonder if the mystery solving and rigid sexual tension is going to wear thin.

Journeyman Tlooks OK and I have high hopes for it, but I worry that its Quantum Leap altruism will become to saccharine or formulatic. Doctor Who's over till next year so I have to get my time travel fix somewhere.

I agree Journeyman could be a good show. Still I can't shake my first thoughts: this is nothing but Quantum Leap with no Ziggy or Al - this going to end bad.

I actually enjoyed the Bionic Woman and I have pretty high hopes it'll do well. The same goes for Life. The premise is certainly odd and his detective style reminds me of Monk on USA, but it is different enough that I don't feel it's a rip-off.

This show has me hooked. I was hoping it would be good as I have been a Damian Lewis fan since he appeared in Band of Brothers but this is better than I had even considered.

Not unusual and most expected: I am quite apathetic about syndicated television programs. I watch them, yet I gain nothing. I abhor not being allowed to imagine.

Nevertheless, I feel inclined to get back in touch with Boston Legal, and receive my first samplings of long-running Survivor. That is the long and short of it.

Ok, it's more of a winter season show , but it's still something that I'm looking forward to.

And maybe Heroes once I get caught up on the episodes I miss. Prison Break is a big maybe, since they just broke out of prison, only to get locked up in another one in Panama. So unless we get another season of Firefly, that's all the shows I'll be watching.
