New TMNT movie and game

I don't think anyone has posted this yet..

There appears to be a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie due out next March as well as a game from the crew at UbiSoft.

Link goodness to the article at Arstechnica

Both look pretty good. I have no idea what the storyline behind the movie is, but I grew up on the Turtles and a full scale CGI movie is pretty exciting.

The game looks pretty sharp as well. I'm a big fan of the folks at UbiSoft so, the marriage of these guys and the Turtles...well, it's pretty exciting too. At the very least, it's bound to be better than the last two crap fest TMNT games, right?

I'm still waiting for the Adolescent Radioactive Black-Belt Hamsters to make a comeback.

Wow...

It seems now like every few months something's out from my childhood.... gee I wonder why?

I suppose we can look forward to the following (I bet you anything) over the next few years: He-Man, Thundercats, GI Joe, Ghostbusters (somehow they'll try it).

I'm pretty sure they already have a Masters of the Universe in the works, and I could have sworn Ang Lee was connected to it in some fashion.

Managed to lay my hands on a piece of original comic art from the Hamster series a while back. Couldn't believe I found it.

The trailer is availible over at Apple - Trailers.

I've been obsessed with TMNT for ages, I think this looks sweet. Every so often I see TMNT creator Peter Laird either around town or at a comic show. I always shoot the shit and ask him how the movie's going. He seems to be excited, which I take as a good sign.

Wow, I'm already diggin the art style. Its straight out of the comic book. The city backdrop along with them crossing the buildings in the foreground looked great.

Wait - isn't this a JOKE?? C'mon, I'm gullible, so be nice, wouldja?

No joke, it was a spoof comic back in the eighties when TMNT was huge, put out by an independent publisher, can't remember who. The series was only a handful of issues long.

Heh, I have all but one of the original issues and a couple of the solo pieces too. These and my Boris The Bear comics are some of my most cherished because they're such time pieces.

I was never a huge fan of the show, so I can't say that I am excited in any way, but worse things have happened. I mean, it can actually be good.
