No matter how long I stared at my orange piggy bank, the little bastard wasn't saying anything clever. So, I turned to my hoodie. That worked.

So, yes! I'm Shawn. I was guided here by Minka/RangerJoe, on her assumption that I had something to contribute to a community composed of intelligence. After I stopped giggling, I decided to give it a shot.

I'm not really sure what I do have to offer, here. I know my language, which is a plus. I can, at times, sound like I know what I'm talking about in the fields of music and psychology. I know my movies, and have a tendency to quote Firefly far too much. Otherwise, I sit back and watch the truly intelligent people carry on discussions beyond the scope of my understanding. It's oddly fun.

Happens often. She simply proved the fact that I've got everyone snowed. I get so confused, sometimes, that I can't think my way out of a paper bag. And, yet...everyone thinks I'm really smart. I think it's cuz I use big(ish) words.

Y'see, I often try to come up with either a witty, or relevant (to the topic) title. Like, if I review an album, I use my favourite lyric. Or, I quote from the movie I'm discussing.

I spent five minutes studying my screen, trying to think of a statement that is both intriguing, and unbelievably fucked up. I settled on Penny Arcade. I was, quite literally, staring at the piggy bank on the corner of my dresser, deep in contemplation.
