Dear Santa...
What do you want for Christmas?? Some I'm sure will go with the sentimental type of replies and other's for the actual things they'd ask 'Santa' for. How about giving us one immaterial thing and one materialistic thing.
Immaterial thing...I want my daughter to learn to be more helpful. Pick up after herself better and help with other things. I know this is something I can work on with her - and HAVE been - but I wish it was less work to teach her this. Material thing... A Rubber Ducky Vibrator. I found this one this past fall and bookmarked it. I may end up having a part in ordering later but it doesn't matter to me. I think it could be a lot of fun for us. I love the idea of having a toy that my daughter could find without it prompting her to ask me a dozen questions. I'd especially enjoy sharing it at house parties where our guests have hot-tubs. So What's your Christmas wish/es? What would you ask Santa for? |
All I want for Xmas is a healthy child. We're due on June 19th and just had the first ultrasound to rule out (well kinda rule out) major developmental defects. So far everything looks good. And I can't wait to be a dad.
On the material side, I want an iPod Nano. Thanks Santa. |
On the immaterial side...I want my boyfriend to clean up after himself more. I get really tired of walking into the kitchen and finding all the cupboard doors open and the cocoa still open and out. I also get tired of stepping on wet, dirty underwear on the bathroom floor.
On the material side, I just want a really good hat, scarf, and glove set. It's been very cold here lately and this would come in handy above all else. |

On the material side, I'd like a fat wad of cash. |
Immaterial: I would like to see my friend get pregnant and have the boy her and her family want (they already have two girls).
Material: I would like a good PDA to help me stay organized. |
On the material side: a job. I've got a hot interview the day after tomorrow, so I'm truly hoping Santa will bring put a job offer under my tree.
Or is that immaterial? I don't know. I'd settle for that, and continued happy existence with my loving and lovely wife. |
I want my wedding to go well, and my new wife to become pregnant. We've been tying for a year, and have just started to have tests to see what's wrong (if anything).
So far it's stressfull. |
Immaterial: I would like my teenage daughter(15) to be visted by three spirits so they can show her, "herself" and how the world is not all about her!
Material: A new pc. - edit - something really nice for my wife! |
Materially: I'd like to get enough energy to hold my fund raiser so I can open my recovery house. I'm a procrastinator and my friend is offering the house again for $650/month, he won't wait forever so I have to get my ass in gear and get this done.
Immaterially: I'd like to see everybody here, my clients and co-workers, family and friends have a healthy, safe and wonderful year ahead of them. |
Material : A new good hooded jacket would do me nicely...thankya
Immaterial: erm, just a good time over the christmas holidays, my family are always real busy at this time so just for everything to go smoothly would be nice. |
Immaterial: Love. In a romantic sense.
Material: I want $3500 to pay back my parents for my car. |
Immaterial: I want my brother's child that's due in June to be healthy and I want my husband's cancer to not come back....ever. I could really go on and on...
Material: I think I know just about everything I'm getting and it's mostly what I wanted, so...thanks Santa! |
Immaterial: I wish for my nephew to continue to develop his communication skills which got a late start.
Material: A really good quality digital camera would be great, or a nice webcam, one or the other. :p (Or a laptop with wireless internet so I don't kill myself during our family vacation in the middle of nowhere this summer. :P :() |
Immaterial: To have myself (covered in hives from allergy) and my Children (2 older ones have been having flu symtoms over the last week) to be much healthier soon, esp. for Christmas Day and the vacation my SO is taking for the first time since I've known him.
Material: A really nice (nikon, sony, anything 6.0 mp +) Camera and Printer with enough ink to print a lot of pictures. Ok, so I'm no pro and don't really need a camera that big, but hey, you didn't say it had to make sense ;) |
Immaterial: Im hoping my little boy grows up happy and knows hes loved, i hope i can be strong for all the challanges ahead of me now that im a parent. I hope that this year is a better year for my parents and sisters as its been a rough trot over the last few years.
Material: i would love an engagement ring from my partner lol....... im sure ones coming soon  |
Immaterial: I'd like my brother to have to work less. I think his company depends on him too much, and is using him. He could probably work less, for more money, at a company that truly values him. His marriage and health are suffering.
Material: Music/Movie Gift certificates. |
My sanity :)
For my son to always have love in his life |
wait that was 2 inmaterals
take away my sanity and let my family always have love for material Ill take True Crime NYC video game for Game cube |
immaterial: to find love again
material: a sweet record player :)...i need something to play my neil diamond albums!!! |
immaterial: health for me and mine - for all of us to be strong again.
material: daydream? a sweet laptop. or a Vespa. that would rock. :) |
immaterial: For the buisness I've been procrastinating about starting to get off the ground and really work out well and fly like I want it to, and for it to carry me along with it
material: one of those neat little phone/camera/IM gadgets with the same monthly cost as my current cell plan. That, or lots of gift cards to Bed Bath N Beyond and Lowe's and World Market so we can decorate our house! |
immaterial: I want artistic or musical talent. Finding love would be nice, but with my luck, it'd be one of those creepy stalker types who follows me everywhere and I'd need a restraining order to get rid of...
material: set of riedel single malt scotch glasses http://www.surlatable.com/images/pro...0203_1800f.jpg and a bottle of single malt scotch from each of the scotch producing regions |
I'm not sure if job wishes are immaterial or material?
Immaterial: With the new thyroid treatment my SO is going through, the chances are good for a <s>spawning</s> pregnancy. Then I can <s>spread my evil seed</s> become a proud father. Material: An mp3 player that records voice and FM. |
immaterial-I want Dave to be more appreciated at work.
material-complete dvd box set of Upstairs Downstairs |
I'd like for Santa to bring some wins to my hockey team. We've hit a slump these last few weeks.
I'd also like some more RAM, or a 1 GB thumbdrive. |
i'm not gonna separate these things, i'll just throw them down as they come to me.
i want: a new job, lower car insurance payments, a second computer screen, a handheld gps receiver, a digital slr camera, a sweetheart who isn't afraid of being not-so-sweet when one desires something a little more playful, some toys appropriate to those not-so-sweet moments, new furniture, a nice down-filled futon mattress, the opportunity i need to immerse myself in my education, a great coffeshop closer to home or a home closer to a great coffeshop, more time with my daughter, at least four pair of new shoes; hikers, sneakers, docs, and flip-flops, 7 stone less, more books, a new wallet, and a trip to philly so i can eat pat's every day for a week. (yeah, i broke the rules. watcha gonna do?) |
Dear Santa,
Please allow me to sleep through Christmas this year. Yours, Flamingdog. |
Immaterial? Well I'm going to be selfish on this one. I want someone, a guy preferably, under my tree, wrapped in a bow (only) and ready to go, whenever I want to go (well whatever physiology permits I guess). I have never been laid on christmas eve, and yeah I know it's weird. I guess after all the pressure and work that goes into making christmas, well christmas, the bit of stress relief ain't bad. And of course all that business of getting laid and all would be better if it were attached to some commitment, but really, I'm never one to get my way like that.
Material? There are few items I had in mind to pick up for myself this year but I opted to save it for the christmas shopping. It's okay though, it's gratifying to see the smiles on their faces when they open the presents I sufferred at the mall for. |
Oh yeah, peace and goodwill toward men would be cool too.
|
A few good beers with some cold friends. No wait! That aint right, is it? A few cold beers with some good friends, in a warm place.
And on the materialistic side I think that I would like the third series of the Shield on DVD. I have fallen out of love with TV so badly that it's costing me a fortune. Adverts suck. Although this little crimbo wish is impossible because I don't think that it's out in this country yet. Isn’t Santa a cheap arse these days? I used to list reams of A4 lined paper when I was kid, now I’m only allowed two items, and one of them’s got to be immaterial. |
To add to my immaterial wish: I want my niece to be able to get rid of her trach tube and feeding tube, and to make it to her first birthday in March. :)

I actually have no material wishes. I have everything I need.
Immaterial: Time to use all of the things I have with the family that gave them to me. |
