Kmart Commercial
Has anyone seen the new Kmart commercial where they are promoting a holiday sale, and three words are on the screen, each with the letter K in them.. (Can't remember what the words were) The words are on the screen without the K's, and one by one the K's drop in to the words... Because the K's are a red in color, while the rest of the letters are black, u just see K. K. K. drop onto the screen... Now I am sure Kmart does not support the KKK but someone had to notice this... I was shocked....
Ayone else seen this? |
that's about as good as the whole 3 Ks found on the pack of Marlboro cigarettes...
a bit reaching... |
I haven't seen the KMart ad, but I recall an ad for Isuzu that had the tagline "Go Farther". The letters zoomed one by one into the image, so for just a second, the ad tells you to "Go Fart".
I can't find a screencap for it, but a websearch shows me that other people saw this as well. |
The falling K's spelling out KKK is just a coincidence. Under this theory, a store dropping three 6's from their prices would mean they are affiliated with evil or the devil. People tend to find meaning in something when there is really nothing there at all.

Wow didnt even notice that but as soon as i saw the first post before i even finished reading i knew what this about. Im sure its just a coincidence although the people making the commercial might have realized when they were outting it together what was spellling out but just brushed it off
|
i've noticed this last winter and went around the local k-mart and examined all the winter displays.... all the snowflakes that were made with Ks ussually had lines of three Ks, and the total amount of K's were allways divisible by 3... i didn't believe it, soo i went to the next sign, then to the shopping bags, then to there website, i looked at it all and it all had KKK in it.. almost all of the time they had groups of 3 K's lined up...
i was wondering if anyone else noticed it... i as going to post about it here sometime this week since i noticed it again this year, but you beat me to it i think its more than a coincidence |
OMG, nwlinkvxd and I saw that commercial so many times together. When he saw the Ks fall into place, he said: 'KKK.' That was his immediate response.
All I said was: Hmm, subliminal messages. |
I am sure it was not done on purpose, but when the advertisers were making this commercial I am sure one of them noticed, laughed, and looked the other way...
|
If people talk about it, it's free publicity.
K-Mart can always say they did not notice it. |
Right out side of my city is a road named Route K. Along the way is a smaller side road named KK. The signs are put right next to each other, perhaps on purpose. I've always meant to get a picture of that.

They also used the color red, and since blood is red, this means that K-Mart supports vampirism.
Where are my petitions and placards? |
Kmart is ievil and must be desroyed. Let's do it.
|
They are just advertising for the upcoming
Krusty Komedy Klassics. |
OMG you guys I went to K-Mart and when I got inside I saw this:

at least they're getting rid of trash
edit: in reference to the fire, not the low-income workers advertisers have slipped things into commericals in the past, although is was more blatant http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/graphics/poster2.jpg |
Two things.
Of course it's a coincidence. Do you really think that in a darkened boardroom somewhere in Kmart HQ, they sat around a table in an evil conspiratorial tones asked "How can we get out secret nefarious message out to the masses? I know! Let's just put three K's in our ads!!" LOL come on. Secondly, I don't see anything in those ice-cubes above. What am I supposedly missing? Mr Mephisto |
maybe it wasn't even blatant enough. makes me all the more suspicious of people who claim that their child's toy is swearing.
here are the details on the ice Quote:

Right, I see it now.
Shouldn't that artist be fired, the agency dumped and legal action considered? That's what I would do if I ran Coca-Cola. Mr Mephisto |
