Any Howard Stern Fans Here?

Any Howard Stern fans here?

I listen to his show when I'm over in San Jose on business.

I have to admit I quite like it. So yeah, I guess you could call me a fan. You just can't get his stuff in Australia though...

Isn't he moving to digital radio or something?

Is there a reason you're asking this question? Or are you making sure you're not the only moron out there that thinks he's funny still.

John Stewart is the NEW king of all media.

Mr Mephisto

he started a bulletin board and there's links for some of the content uncensored available for download.

John Stewart can only do what he does because of Howard Stern. Stern revolutionized the way we listen to radio.

Yes, I am a fan. Did ya'll hear the wet T-Shirt contest on this morning? Dayum!

Nazggul 10-29-2004 08:30 AM

I was forced to listen to him when I was younger and working construction (mid to late 80's). My brother loved it. I found it to be mostly childish and tasteless most of the time.

kelly53 10-29-2004 10:49 AM

I am a fan each to his own and to the chap who calls folks morons who have a different sense of humor take a pill pal.I am from Toronto and can pick up his show from Buffalo some times trite it some time makes makes me laugh my ass off I can't wait till he gets to satelite so fans here an uncensored show and if you don't care for it use the off switch.

ShaniFaye 10-29-2004 10:51 AM

I used to be a fan....but its gotten old and stale and predictable

Halx 10-29-2004 11:05 AM

I'm not a fan, but I do think he's important. Someone needs to be pressing the limits of free speech. It's too bad he's running away to satellite radio... someone needs to give the FCC a hard time.

macsmith230 10-29-2004 11:53 AM

I listen to the show once in awhile. I love it when they're making fun of each other or celebrities or what-have-you, but when it focuses on strippers and porn starts and stuff I turn it off. Not because I'm offended, but because it's utterly stupid. Maybe the boobies translate well in a visual medium, but on the radio you can only hear, "You have such a great ass" so many times before it gets old.

I agree. I'll listen to it sometimes on the way to work. Once they parade out the women, I'll turn it off. I don't want to hear what Stern and his crew would want to do to the Babe of the Week. No thanks.

I also think he's overplayed. Was he important? Sure. Is he still? Well, he would be, but he's going to Sirius, so what relevancy will he have there? Right now his big thing is fighting the FCC. Once he moves, he won't give a shit.

one of the reasons that I watch the E! show :) at least you can see the ass when they don't blur it out.

1slOwCD8 10-29-2004 12:20 PM

Im kinda a fan, i guess. I just watch his show on E! cuz he's not broadcasted in my area. I listen to Mancow in the morning instead.

i too felt he was much more fun to listen too a few years ago than he is now.
In a way he is kind of like radios Larry Flynt, but much less of a fighter and more of a im just going to run away instead of standing up for myself and the rest of free speech

Howard Stern has fans - not that I''m one of them. Bottom line is, he has a right to be heard. If you don't like it, turn it off.
If you can protect an asshats right to shit on an American Flag, you can protect my right to kick his ass.

adam 10-31-2004 06:50 PM

I can't stand Stern, personally, but I am always glad to see someone fight with the FTC and their silly rules.

wolfpack0102 10-31-2004 10:20 PM

Stern is hillarious! The stuff he gets his guest to do is awesome!

really? I don't see in any american historical documents stating you have a right to kick someone's ass.

ace81385 11-01-2004 01:14 PM

Ok, you are forgiven.

I still enjoyed it and had plenty of visuals while on the drive to work.

Mr. Spacemonkey 11-01-2004 01:25 PM

I can't listen to him where I live but I watch him all the time on E!.

I 100% agree with you on that...plus those bastards(can i say that?) at Clear Channel need to stop what they have been doing....alot of the tv and radio in central pa is owned by C.C. and i wont listen or watch stuff they produce.

Oh and yes i am an every morning fan.

monkeydriven 11-02-2004 07:11 AM

I used to listen religiously. Once Jackie left, I stopped...Artie is an unfunny imbecile and the show suffers....

Mr Mephisto

satellite radio to be exact.

and to answer, not really. I find him mildly humorous on his best days....painfully dull normally. //changes the channel to music at this point

didnt they sign a bill that will now fine the individual for indecency? i heard it on the stern show this morning. that would suck to be fined 500k for using the wrong word, im assuming its broadcasted live? i know nothing about radio but i think the stern show would be a lot more interesting on satellite radio.

thingstodo 11-04-2004 04:23 AM

Cartman, I agree that he has gotten a little dull. Perhaps it started when Jackie left but maybe before.

It's a funny show when they are doing funny things. The strippers get a little old and when Howard starts talking about how great he is it really gets old.

I lived in the DC area in '81/'82 and started on Howard back then. He was awesome!! I I, too, switch over to music, another talk show or simply a CD. And perhaps I have evolved since the early 80s while Howard's show has kept after the same demos. Shit, am I getting old??

When elephant boy and high pitch called the gay bath house yesterday... I about died laughing (well, ok, maybe not, but it was really funny!). ;)
