Police confirm remains of Cecilia Zhang

I am not sure how many of you in the states heard about this.

Some people are very sick in the head.

Quote:
MISSISSAUGA, ONT. - Police confirmed Sunday that the human remains found in a wooded ravine west of Toronto are those of nine-year-old Cecilia Zhang, who went missing last October.

The remains were spotted purely by chance by a hiker behind Mississauga's Church of the Croatian Martyrs at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Police said Zhang's remains had been at the site for some time, but refused to provide further details, such as the cause of death, because the case has now become a homicide investigation.

Peel Regional Police Insp. Richard De Facendis, told reporters that the crime scene has been sealed off and various police forces will cooperate in what is sure to be an exhaustive and challenging search of the wooded area.

Toronto Police Chief Julian Fantino responded to the tragic news saying Zhang's family needs time and space to grieve for their daughter.

Toronto Mayor David Miller also expressed his condolences to the Zhang family saying, "the hearts of everyone in this city are with Cecilia's family tonight."

Earlier in the day, Toronto police sent officers and a religious minister to visit the girl's family to offer them support in dealing with the media.

Zhang was last seen asleep in her family's Toronto home last Oct. 19, and police believe she was abducted by an intruder.

Cecilia would have turned 10 on Tuesday.

We don't know her abductor was Chinese. But entering the house would have had to be done by somebody who knew the house.

Very mysterious!

I have the feeling that the killer knew her.

This wasn't a girl picked up off the street like in the case of Holly Jones, this was a guy who came into the house. He knew she was there.

Her parents had been running this pseudo rooming house in their home. At the time of the crime, they had five (5) boarders living with them paying rent. Apparently there have been literally hundreds of former boarders who lived there with that family at one time or another.

I'm sorry, but when you have kids, you don't do that kind of crap. They should have been worried more about their daughter's safety and less about money.

I am not saying that they are to blame, I am saying that her parents lacked judgement. I bet one of those guys who lived there took her with the intent of ransoming her, and when the thing got reported to the cops and the cops turned up the heat, this asshole murdered her.

I feel so sad for this little girl and the terror that she must have suffered at his hands. It's very sad.

Crazy

Why didn't the kidnapper just release her? Obviously b/c they are scared that the girl can identify her, which means that it is likely that it someone that she already knew and could easily identify.

Hope that catch the person/people behind it. I think that if a country/state was to have death sentences then the method should be as gruelsome and painful as possible. Why make it humane? After all, if a person has done something so bad as to deserves the death sentence then he/she doesn't deserve to be treated humanely.

I think its sad. On one hand now the family can start the healing, but still they had hopes that it was a ransom kidnapping and they would get her back alive.
Whats even more sad then that is the longer it takes to find a child the more realistic it becomes that the chances of finding them alive fall.

They found her less than 2km from my house. As a kid I used to play in that ravine all the time.

Scary as hell.

It was so sad that we have such brutal evil fucks out in the world. I hope whoever did this dies a very very slow and painful death.
