Any good ideas for V-Day?
 

I am stumped

I have not idea what to get my wife for V-day.

Forget flowers, can't afford and decent jewelry, candy... na who wants cavities.

Give me some idea on what I could get her. Or the other way around if anyone has good idea.

It may be tight time-wise, but can you afford a bed & breakfast for the night/weekend ?

What about a bottle of your favorite perfume ?

A watch ?

A few good books and a couple bottles of wine ?

A coupon book, full of little "I'll do this for you for a day" type things. Maybe if she's the rexy-sexy type, you can throw a few of those in there too :D.

How about you cook a nice diner for her? that is..if you can cook...

Some nice lingerie? And you can impress her even more by wearing it yourself when you give it to her!!

Big teddy bear and a card.

Being a wife, I'd say do something for her that you normally don't do- wash the dishes, scrub the tub, do the laundry---just something that lets her know you're thinking about all the things she does and that you appreciate her.

Barring that, make her a card, get some cheap wine (put it in nice glasses) and light some candles.

OHH! And kiss her like you mean it....from the tips of your toes....that one always gets me!

I think you should lay the cod to her like she has never had it before.

Valentines Day is her day. Leave the cod laying for Steak and Blowjob day (that's men's day). I agree with the replies of a few of those above me. Just do something unexpected for her. From my experience this always works when a tight budget is involved. She just need to know how much she means to you -- and this does not necissarily need to be affirmed with a monetary gift.

Beats me. But don't whatever you do tie a red ribbon around your tool in a bow and lay on the bed naked waiting for her. A friend of mine did that for his wife on V-day a few years back and she went berserk. he ended up sleeping in the basement that night and didn't get any for a while.

im not a believer in this holiday because i always do nice things for my lady(when i have one)...

but one time i made a fire out in my field in the shape of a heart, made a nice dinner, and set up sleeping bags under the stars. it was nice... but its a weather permitting sort of thing.

I'm cooking my girl dinner then we're goin' to a V-Day party at our fav bar... then we's gettin in on... all night long... all night long baby.

I will be giving my girl the in-home spa treatment for the whole day. Wish I could afford the real thing, but hell, I can make an avacado mask for $1, why pay $50?

But, remember this is just any other day in which you can express your love for her.

My best work. Total cost less than $300. I went out and got her some langere (which she really loves) and a sexy dress (from a store that she really likes). I rented a hotel room (suite) and went to teh room as soon as I could check in. I decked out the room in candles and rose petals. I laid out what I had bought her and placed a rose on top of it.

I made a note that said "Follow the petals. Put on the dress. Come to the lounge. I will be waiting."

Then I went and picked her up. All she knew is that I wanted her to have the night free. So I blind folded her, drove her to the hotel, and then still blind folded I put her in the room and told her that once I closed the door to take off the blind fold and look down (to see the note).

Well about 20-30 min later she arrived at the lounge. We had some drinks then I took her to one of her favorite local restaurants. She loved it. She still talks about it to her friends to this day.

If you don't have $300 to go all out, hell just rent a nice room, get one with a whirpool. But some chanpange and make some kind of apitizer tray. Just have a nice night in the room with candles to be alone with each other.

No. Wrong. Couldn't be less right. Valentines Day is about her, that's the way it's designed, and that's the way it'll stay. Think otherwise and you're fooling yourself. You don't really want a red and white teddy bear, do you? Of course not. It's not about you.

I, for one, am so glad that my g/f doesn't buy into such a hokey holiday either. I treat her well and do special stuff for her throughout the year, and she does the same for me. I think we'll spend the holiday drinking wine, eating Thai takeout and doing our taxes with my parents--then after they leave, we'll do it a couple times. ;)

what is it you do? flip burgers? open heart surgery?... directly - do you have a skill or craft... or some sort of hobby that you get personal enjoyment out of?
whatever that is, take it, and use it to produce something for your wife.
I'm into music. I produce music and dj.. I also like to play with colors... none of this is my job really, but it's what I enjoy and it's something that I've been able to share with my loved ones.. so I make mix CDs and personalized cards, as a launching pad for proclaiming my love *swoon... but that's me.. maybe you like something else that can be personalized into something to proclaim your love...
and a drive out to somewhere beautiful is always great... I'm pretty poor and make no secret of it, but it's pretty inexpensive to drive a lady out to the mountains and show her the world that she means to you =)

Those are some great ideas, I am thinking dinner, massage, and maybe is she is real nice clean the litter box (cringes)

Give her a massage and if she ever wrote you any love letters, cut out quotes or passages from them and make a collage out of them with a pic of both of you in the middle.

Ok, I have a question... I got my girlfriend the usual (flowers and candy), but I also got her a chalk bag for rock climbing. Bear with me, this isn't quite as random as it sounds. She's started coming climbing with me the past two weeks, and she loves it. She's mentioned getting her own climbing gear a few times now.

Now what I want to know is this... should I give her everything tomorrow, or should I hang on to the climbing stuff for a few days, and give it to her later, just as a random surprise present? Obviously you don't know her... but just in general, what do you think would be the better idea?

That was exactly what I was gonna suggest, but what if you two both had a spa day together at home. From a bath together, facial mask (yes men can do it too!), anything you can think of...It would be great if you could just relax and have fun all day together, and give eachother massages. O~!And to top it off..make a nice dinner together. V day is for the TWO of you. If you got the cash, a day at the spa for the two of you. Though its kinda late to be suggesting this now...sorry!
