I'm quite fascinated by the split age distribution.

SecretMethod70 03-26-2009 03:18 AM

It's not really split, more like a bell. The poll doesn't have equally sized options, due to the fact I knew there would be more 20- and 30-somethings than older members.

Broken down by decade, we've got:

0-20 - 2
21-29 - 47
30-39 - 32
40-49 - 16
50-59 - 9
60-69 - 2
70+ - 2

mixedmedia 03-26-2009 03:24 AM

it would also be interesting to see the numbers broken out by gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation and posting frequency...time for a census! :p

BadNick 03-26-2009 03:27 AM

...a day later, still in the same bracket

BogeyDope 03-26-2009 06:56 AM

I wonder who here is 70+...?!

crewsor 03-26-2009 01:23 PM

Age is just a number. That said, I considered bumping down a category for some unknown reason. I wonder how many actually do, even with the anonymity of the internet.

hotdogg 03-26-2009 01:27 PM

I only wish my body could keep up with my mind

Eweser 03-26-2009 07:53 PM

Turned 31 last month, but I feel younger than I did 10 years ago. Hitting 30 has been a jolt. It really makes me appreciate the things I have to look forward to.

Anormalguy 03-26-2009 07:53 PM

I'm glad to see that I've got some company in the geezer  bracket, 40-49.

You need to have enough posts to do that here. It keeps the spammers away. You've been here for 2 years and only one post. If you start posting responsibly around the board, one of the first thing to happen will be the ability to post pictures. There are lots of other things that participation earns.

You might be unable to attach but that doesn't put an end to it .... upload the images on any website such as google photos, flickr, image host, photobucket etc etc etc ... then insert the link using the [img][/img] function.

badmike 03-28-2009 07:07 AM

BadNick 03-28-2009 08:19 AM

Don't be too quick to dismiss your 20's.

At some point in your mid 40's, you will see some hot 20-something and desperatly wish you were in your 20's again.
Or you will throw your back out getting off the couch.

Enjoy it while its there. It'll be gone quick enough.

World's King 03-28-2009 09:02 AM

Who says I'm not gonna still be dating 20 year olds when I'm in my 40s? Cause that's been my plan all along.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you don't have big plans for your future.

I say go older....we know all the good secrets and have practiced them.

perripken 03-29-2009 07:38 AM

Ho Hum,
I'm in midlife crisis at 48.

slightlyaskew 03-29-2009 07:47 AM

on the cusp of 47

Mister Coaster 03-29-2009 08:58 AM

36, here. That category was farther down the list of options than I expected it to be... I know I'm not "old" but at 36, I've now been over 18 longer than I was under it. Interesting milestone.

SirLance 03-29-2009 12:11 PM

49.... pushing a stroller! Yikes!

Looks -almost- like a bimodal distribution ... not what I would have anticipated ... but interesting all the same. I can't wait to see more data smooth this out.

Xerxys 04-01-2009 04:39 PM

 Doesn't the age explain it then?

Bear in mind the categories aren't equal. Some span 10 years, some 4 or 5, and one only spans 3 years.

azzman372 04-02-2009 01:47 AM

I'm part of the majority

My answer changes at the end of the summer. Pushing 40.

COMPLETELY off topic... I just hooked my computer up to my 32" widescreen LCD. I have TFP in hi def. It's awesome.

Carry on.

I had mine that way for about 3 years. I could never go back to a regular sized screen!
