Do an autopsy on a body embedded in concrete??
CNN.com has a story about this.
From the article: Quote:

By carefully chipping away the concrete?
I dunno  |
DNA testing, that shit can do anything
|
yea, i'm sure they'll find something w/ dna.
but i dont know how the hell they'll do an autopsy |
wouldn't surprise me if there's some kind of concrete solvent that they could use. dunno though.

Imagine reading this thread title in the Tilted Advice forum....

A concrete solvent? Hell, if they had something that would melt concrete, I doubt whether there would much of a body to do an autopsy on!? Sounds like a job for Mr. Jackhammer to me.
|
Could always pull out the chisel and do a michaelangelo on it...
|
well if you wait long enough , the body will become smaller then it was when it was put into the drum
so that gives very small gaps of the skin and the concrete mold, which maybe would allow you *carefully* hammer the huge chunks away either way, i would never want to do this |
As others have suggested, I think the only way to do this would be to chip away at the concrete slowly.

i'd say it's pretty simple from an archeologists point of view...
chip.. brush... chip.. brush... slow and meticulous... there's no statue of limitations on murder so they can take as long as they need. |
Would the body decay? I mean, for that to happen, there has to be air getting to the body, and how porous is concrete anyway?
I think they need the CSI gang, and Quincy... and maybe Bob Villa. |
Correct me if I'm wrong, and most usually do...but wasn't this an episode on last seasons "Crossing Jordan"?
|
Concrete is very porous, air will get in, and decay will occur.
