TFP on MySpace -- add us!
 

Ok, so a friend of mine suggested using MySpace as a cool way to generate some traffic from good people who are interested in connecting. So, I've started up a TFP MySpace account.

Please add us as a friend! Whore us to your friends! Spread the word!

In order for sites like the TFP to survive and keep active, we need to continuously look for new sources of traffic, so this is one of those new things. Please help make this successful.

Seems a bit weird that this same exact idea was repeatedly shot down when people did this independently - hell, I was even told to take my myspace link from my signature simply because "this site doesn't support site plugging - but now it's okay.

In any case, please accept my request to add TFP as a friend.

You mean, specifically, people tried to create a MySpace account for TFP? Or tried doing the same for themselves? We have a MySpace thread in Nonsense, for all the link whoring needs. We definitely don't want people doing things "in the name of" because of a lot of reasons. As far as links in signatures go, we've always tried to crack down on personal plugs. This is more of a TFP venture, using everyone's MySpace footprint to help spread the word about the site, and hopefully generate some new members.

This isn't much of a gimmick. I mean, tons of celebs are using MySpace as their publicity hub, so it's a little different than sending people to some strange website where they have to give their personal information to to participate in this hit-or-miss event set up by Joexwyz398 who has been a TFP member for 2 weeks.

There's a Tilted Myspace Project in groups, but no one's responded to my request to join in months.

Its my friend now...but I dont know how long I can keep you as long as you still have Tom as a friend too bwahahahahaha

The best part will be waiting to see who gets bent out of shape over Hal's Top 8, Top 12, or whatever.

I've gotten pretty good at editing, but all my changes keep looking like the Beatles, for some unknown reason.

I think I remember when the age limit for TFP was 14. Before the last major TFP Meltdown where all our accounts were lost.

Anyways, as soon as I get some time, I'll try to clean up the page and add some extra information. I just can't do it from school 'cause they blocked MySpace.

I'm thinking of ways we can use the TFP MySpace connection to create some more interaction.

That's another good way to get people to notice. It pops up in your groups box. I've learned how to access MySpace through a VPN skirting the hospital's webblocker. :thumbsup: They wouldn't let me have my email, so I MySpace message or IM instead. Thanks for the add... and to all the people who found me, too. I have friends again! woooooo!! :lol:

it says after you generate (whatever) to put it in your "about me" section..

now in our band profile,there isn't an "about me".

so i'm still tryin' to find it.....any idea mexican?

I looked at your page fly, you have an "about blueflytrio" thats the about me box...you just dont have anything in it. When you click on edit profile it should be the 2nd box under the headline box (headline is where you have "On the rise!!")

I have petitioned, and have been e-validated. Now I, like the others, will watch avidly to see if I am ever judged "good enough" to be in the top grouping...

It's cool to see other facets of tfpers' personalities. I'm already making plans to meet up with more folks! :)
