I don't know how many times I've received these - it must be over 2000 by now, and that's just the ones that haven't gone straight to my junk mail folder without me ever seeing them. The most frequent one seems to be from 'Mrs Miriam Abacha, wife of the deposed president of Nigeria'. "She" doesn't seem to be having much luck getting her money out of the country!

i can't wait to get my bigger pen15, the pen14 was just to small to grip comfortably, it was really hard to write with. The ad said it would last longer too! my old pen14 was always running out of ink when i was using it.

I once engaged in an email exchange with a 419 scammer, and when it came time for him to ask me for the 'cash advance' I told him that he needed to send me a few hundred dollars in loan securement fees first (I'm a poor student, can't afford it, etc). The cheeky fucker actually had the nerve to send me a mail calling me a 'cheating bastard' and that I would go to hell for trying to scam him out of money! Oh, the irony. It's not all fun and games with the 419 chappies though. I once read a story about a man who flew to Nigeria after he was scammed to to try and get his money back. He was murdered a few days later.
My favourite scam is the old Citibank 'Please send us your details so we can verify your account' email that is full of the most horrendous spelling and grammatical errors it looks like it was written by a dyslexic chimp. |
