More importantly, what OS are you using? If you are using Win 98 or one of it's ugly cousins, then they only support up to 128 MB anyway. If you are using an NT based system or Unix-based the ceiling is higher. Worse case if you put in something it can't handle then it will either not use it or it won't boot. Pretty simple.
