Pitching Ideas to Radio Stations?
A bandmate of mine and I have come up with an idea for a showcase that is really low overhead, but we really want a local radio station to do some sponsorship and promotion for it.
How do I go about the following:
- Getting an appointment with the Radio Advertising/Sales/Promotion people?
- Presenting the idea to them in a way that they will take us seriously?
Also, if anyone has ideas about the following, I'd really like to hear them:
- Putting on a 5 hour musical showcase.
- Legality of doing an entire show of cover songs.
- Keeping your sanity while all this goes on around you.
