Quite the opposite, I have a box that a pagan friend gave me as a parting gift when I moved. Inside are some wax sealed pieces of paper with her wishes for me, and the whole thing has been blessed (word choice limited, best I could think of) so that the messages on the papers will happen.
The catch is I can't open them, but I haven't yet, and I dont believe I will, I trust her.
Don't know if I believe in it, but it never hurts to try.
