I am willing to bet that's because couples who don't live together before marriage are usually deeply religious and won't consider divorce as an option.....no matter how unhappy their marriage is. They are good at depriving themselves of pleasures and resisting temptation, even the temptation to bail out of an uhnappy marriage....
