Went back to college at 47, not living in the dorm. You should have a course schedule, either printout or online. If the semester starts on a Monday, and you have a Monday class, your class meets on the first day. If you really want to make sure, call the department office.
As for materials: pens, notebooks or three-ring binders for note-taking, and that's really about it. If more is required, they'll tell you on day 1 and the student store should (doesn't always, but should) have anything else you need.
Oh yeah, if you need a parking permit at that school, find out about it. The school website should have all the details.
