Expect a whole bunch of folks to make pretty unfortunate first impressions by demonstrating that they don't know when to say when....by getting so drunk that they make asses out of themselves. Drink (if you want to), but do not go so overboard that for the next four years you won't be able to shake the "he's the guy that our first week of school got naked, passed out in the girl's bathroom, and had to get his stomach pumped."
You've got four years to do everything, but precious few opportunities to make first impressions. Ease into it....
