Networking, Serial Cable, Parallel Cable....
Networking on DOS is a bit of a pain, but it can be done.. I suggest doing that if possible.
Not sure what cnc machine is (besides running DOS), but can you run Windows for Workgroups 3.11 on it? That'll make networking a bit easier.
