What now?
I'm more curious about the responses from the people who have disagreed with the war from the beginning. It seems as though the bulk of the discussion/arguments here continue to focus on the validity of the war. I would just like to start a thread that focuses on where we are now (not how or why we got here), and what the best course of action is.
My opinion (as if it will come much of a surprise to anyone that's read my posts), is that we should use any and all means at our disposal to get Iraq on it's feet (which I think requires much more public support), get this over with and get outta there in a reasonable amount of time. I think part of what made vietnam vietnam was the lack of public support, and therefore lack of government support for the people that were over there. It concerns me that this may happen in Iraq.
I see this happening with members of the UN. Because they didn't agree with the war in the first place, nobody is offering support. It's undeniably in everyone's best interest the Iraq situation is resolved, and this would happen more quickly if the UN committed themselves to making this happen.
Anyway, maybe not articulated in the best way possible cause I got a million things on my mind, just curious to see where this goes).
