I just write when I get the urge to. Sometimes it is every day, sometime I go a few weeks without writing. Sometimes I write about stuff in my life, other times I don't. I have noticed most of my writing lately like within the last 8 months or so focuses more on my life or feelings or some tangent of that. I haven't written pure fiction in a while.
Writing is what you want it to be for you, it is what you let yourself express. When you let yourself go, you get the best stuff!
