My Ithaca is a NWTF model with a smooth bore, but it's a fine deer gun shooting rifled slugs.

I too have an ithaca. Model 37 featherlight, smooth slug barrel. But it is 16 gauge
I hate 16 gauge, it seems to be the perfect sized round but ammunition is 200% the cost of 12/20 gauge ammunition if you can even find it....
