I did a fitness thing last year at school where they weighed us and did a body fat test and a fitness test. I had not exercised in a year due to a foot injury and I was looking to get back to some kind of working out again.
I found out that I had literally wasted years of exercising because I didn't really do that extra day and didn't pay enough attention to getting my heart rate up when I was exercising.
By working out 4 days a week for 30 minutes with my heart rate up to speed I found it was much easier to lose weight and the result was that I improved my fitness and lost 14 lbs.
Exercise is a big part of fitness and weight loss. And it makes you feel great. The best time of day is going out to the track and doing some walking or running. (I had to go to walking lately because my back is just sore all of the time when I run......the age thing. Keep in mind that you can always do something.)
