G_whiz, i could be wrong, but I assume lebell means that in medical research (ie, cancer, AIDs, stemm -pigs-) it can be a neccesary evil. (and btw, i agree. i hate it but i _do_ think much research is needed. though i think scientest need to learn some humanity)
what she said with make-up, companies not only use the oils of animals, but they use their products on animals also. these applications may severly burn, hurt, torment an animal. lebell is saying 'if you want lipstick, do NOT test it on an animal! if you think you can cure an illment, then go ahead."
