I hate country music PERIOD. It's ALL shit.

Would not have bought their stuff before, would not buy their stuff now.

But from a purely political point of view, they are free to speak their minds, and i admire that, but their fans are free not to buy or buy their music.

It kind of reminds me of john lennon's infamous "we are now more popular than christ" statement which caused a lot of beatle records to go up in smoke and a lot of protest by rednecks.

In the end, as far as the beatles and their contribution to pop music it proved to be only a minor foot note.

The dixie chicks would be smart to switch to a more mainstream music and get away from the country rednecks.
