I'd say I'm disappointed that the NDP didn't get more seats (given their rise in the popular vote).
People wanted change. They felt that in the face of economic downturn there should be no further tax cuts. Canadians (Ontarians) as general rule believe in social spending and the tax cuts Eves had planned would only cut further into our ability to provide needed services.
Toronto gave a clear message to the PCs... stop pissing on us! It has been all take, take, take followed by a boot to the head. It is no way to treat the economic engine of Ontario (and Canada for that matter). What is interesting is that the 905 belt around Toronto has shifted as well... it seems the interests of that region have shifted significantly.
It will be interesting to see what becomes of the region by this time next year as we will have new Municipal governments in November and likely a new Federal government (yes it will be the Liberals but new leader) by next spring...
