I don't have an answer for you, but it seems pretty weird, doesn't it? I mean, they have hard semi-spherical shells. How the heck do they get in? We had a "swarm" a couple of years ago, and there were a few that got into the house by the windows, but there were no gaps for them to access.
At least ladybugs are cute. (Hey! Who you callin' a lady?!)
