I've never been a big listener to the radio. My tastes have always been too far off the beaten path.
That is until I got turned onto
WFMU Freeform Radio via the internet. Sadly i can't listen to this unless there is a computer nearby.
So does your city have a good radio station that plays anything other than top 40? Kansas City is an armpit for radio. We are saturated with 80s hair rock, top 40 and country, we have 2 small public stations that offer alternatives but they are only listenable for me a 3 hours a week.
