One pregnancy test brand says this on their website (http://www.preventionplus.com/html/ptest.html)
The test utilizes unique antibodies that are specific for hCG,
enabling it to be a highly sensitive and accurate test. With
the Puralin One-step Pregnancy Test, pregnancy can be
determined as early as the first day of a woman's missed period.

I'm sure there are other early pregnancy tests out there like this one. I wouldn't wait as long as 2 weeks to take some tests! By then, she could be well into her first trimester.
