Man, its been so long since I've taken the tests that its hard to remember. I don't think it went too indepth into IOS commands themselves, but I'd still try to know what I could.
Some of the Cisco sales offices used to let people drop by and play with their lab equipment once a week. You might try to find out who your local rep/SE is and ask if they still do that.
